Mount Olive Lutheran Church

Worship Information

All are welcome to join us for worship on Saturday evenings, Sunday mornings, and special services throughout the year. Large print worship items are also available.

Children are welcome and encouraged to participate in all church services. We enjoy seeing little faces in church and we want to provide an atmosphere that promotes their participation in our worship. Our children’s corner has quiet worship activities available for their use next to the Activities Resource Kiosk (ARK). The Nursery is available for children age 6 weeks-3 years old from 7:45-11:45 AM each Sunday.

The Lord’s Supper is celebrated at this congregation in the confession and glad confidence that, as He says, our Lord gives into our mouths not only bread and wine but His very body and blood to eat and drink for the forgiveness of sins and to strengthen our union with Him and with one another. Our Lord invites to His table those who trust His words, repent of all sins, and set aside any refusal to forgive and love as He forgives and loves us, that they may show forth His death until He comes. If these statements are your beliefs, we welcome you to this blessed Sacrament. If you have never attended the Lord’s Supper or have questions or concerns about your attendance, please speak to a pastor or an elder.

At Mount Olive we begin the process of Confirmation at 6th Grade, with early communion instruction a child in 6th, 7th, or 8th Grade may come to the Lord’s Supper. We use white wine but also offer red grape juice for those who can not have alcohol. We offer a wafer for the bread but also have special gluten free wafers to those who need this – please contact the Pastor before coming to communion so we can make arrangements if you need the gluten free wafer.

The Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 8:00 AM worship and on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at the 10:45 AM worship. It is offered at both services on a 5th Sunday or special feast days. It is offered at all Saturday worship at 5:00 PM.
