Are you a single parent? Mount Olive is offering a FREE new class titled “Single & Parenting – Hard Work, Real Hope”. The class will be held on Sunday’s in the Library from 9:30-10:30am starting on June 2nd. Single parents: Moms, Dads, Grandparents, all ages and stages are welcome! Children’s programming and nursery care will be available during the class. Contact Carol or Erin with any questions: Disasters have a nasty way of turning our world inside out. In this study from Lutheran House Ministries, Rev. Kurt Klaus considers the catastrophes that nature wrecks, man causes, or we bring on ourselves–or others. (Taught by Pastor Mike and Kiersten Borgstede) Jesus commands His disciples, in both the first and 21st centuries, to Go and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). How do we really do that? Come to this study and find out! We’ve all got our issues! We deal with our “issues” every day in one form or another; the problem is, after a while, they start to feel . . . normal. We forget that we have access to the power of Christ—a power that can transform our everyday weaknesses into our greatest strengths and gifts! Sign up at the Activities Resource Kiosk (ARK) or email SaraBorgs@aol.com to reserve your place. Beginning Sunday, April 7, 2013 and for 7 weeks we will use our sermon time to explore the profound impact God’s Grace has on our lives. Our LIFE Groups (small groups) will then be using a Video Bible study by Max Lucado to dig deeper into the theme of Grace. If you are interested in joining a LIFE Group, or for more information, click this link and scroll down the page to fill in the form. There will also be a Sunday morning (9:30 am in the Fellowship Hall) version of GRACE but will NOT be able to take the time for a lot of sharing as can take place in the LIFE Groups.
